Le certificat de premiers secours certifi\u00e9 RYA\/MCA est reconnu par l’Office suisse de la navigation maritime pour l’obtention du permis mer au sens de l’art. 4, al. 1 de l’ordonnance sur le certificat de conduite en mer (RS 747.321.71).<\/p>\n

In a medical emergency a first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers.<\/p>\n

Our one-day course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) <\/li>\n
  • Cold shock and hypothermia after falling into the water<\/li>\n
  • Drowning and near-drowning, how do we treat such victims?<\/li>\n
  • Head injuries, recognize and treat properly<\/li>\n
  • Medical shock. What is it, how do we recognize and treat one<\/li>\n
  • How do we get medical help via radio<\/li>\n
  • Helicopter evacuation from a ship or liferaft at sea<\/li>\n
  • Explanation and application of Category C Medical Stores (Category C Medicines)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

It\u2019s designed to improve skills and build knowledge of all aspects of life at sea whilst skippering a sailing yacht during short passages.<\/p>\n
