General Conditions SAFE-Sailing<\/strong><\/h1>\n
Payment & Booking Terms<\/strong><\/h6>\n

A completed and signed booking form, together with the paid invoice is required to secure a booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer.<\/p>\n

Ca<\/strong>n<\/strong>cellatio<\/strong>n<\/strong>s<\/strong> <\/strong>– <\/strong>SAFE-Sailing International Sailing School (SSISS) reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time. In the unlikely event of this happening, we will offer a full refund of course fees or reschedule the course. We will not be liable for any other costs that you may incur, including but not limited to, travel and accommodation. (Insurance is strongly recommended, for example AXA Insurance<\/a>)<\/p>\n

SSISS cannot be held responsible for any changes in the sailing program made necessary because of situations beyond our control. SSISS reserves the right to refuse any person that is not capable of the course. This includes those under the influence of alcohol or drugs or generally a disruption to other students.<\/p>\n

Un<\/strong>d<\/strong>e<\/strong>r<\/strong>taking<\/strong>–<\/strong> <\/strong>I understand and accept the booking conditions set out above. I am physically fit to take part in the course and I am willing to comply with all safety requirements.<\/p>\n

Risk<\/strong> <\/strong>State<\/strong>m<\/strong>ent<\/strong> – Boating is by its nature an unpredictable activity and therefore inherently involves an element of risk. By participating you agree and acknowledge that: a) You are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the activity and you accept responsibility for exposing yourself to such inherent risks. b) You will comply at all times with the appropriate safety regulations c.) You accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by your own negligence; d) You will not participate whilst your ability is impaired by alcohol, drugs or whilst otherwise unfit to participate.<\/p>\n

C<\/strong>omp<\/strong>lai<\/strong>n<\/strong>ts<\/strong> <\/strong>a<\/strong>n<\/strong>d<\/strong> <\/strong>C<\/strong>omp<\/strong>li<\/strong>m<\/strong>e<\/strong>n<\/strong>ts<\/strong> <\/strong>– At SSISS we are always striving to improve our service and the customer experience we offer. We welcome feedback comments and suggestions to improve our future service. If you have a complaint, please notify your Skipper or Instructor as soon as possible so we can help to rectify your concern immediately. Data Protection (GDPR)<\/strong><\/h6>\n

(GDPR) – The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018. Information as to how SAFE-Sailing implements the GDPR is as follows:When you send an application form to our training centre SAFE-Sailing, the data forwarded is used to contact you, send course note books to you by post, hold you informed about our marketing activities or phone you in urgent cases, e.g. course cancellation.<\/p>\n

When you register for our RYA Sailing Courses, SAFE-Sailing will also forward your data to the Royal Yachting association (RYA) in England, so they can issue you with a RYA Certificate. On successful completion of your RYA Course, your name, contact details, date of birth, certificate number and date of issue will be shared with the RYA through a secure web portal on www.rya.org.uk. The data will be stored on the RYA\u2019s central database. This information allows the RYA to record your qualification, to update any records they may hold for you, and to verify or replace your certificate at a later date e.g. if lost or stolen. <\/p>\n
